Do we have to pay a damage deposit?

Vilanova Apartments takes a security deposit in the form of credit card details. In providing your credit card details you authorise Vilanova Apartments to charge your card as appropriate, for any costs incurred as a result of unreasonable neglect, abuse of the property, accidents and damage, or excess charges incurred i.e. late checkout. An additional processing & administration charge of 3% will be added to the charge. This is extremely rare and 99% of bookings do not result in further charges. (This amount or system may be different with owners of apartments not managed by us. You will be informed of their requirements directly).  Minor damages such as broken glasses, plates, cups, etc. will not be charged.

Do we have to bring bed linen or towels?

In summer season all the beds will be made. Towels will only be provided for the number of people who have informed us that they are coming.

If your stay is longer than 8 nights, we will change bed linen and towels in the middle of your stay.

In low season, we will only put bed linen and towels for the number of guests for which we have information at the booking time.

If your stay is longer than 8 nights, we will leave you spare bed linen and towels.

If you need beach towels, we can rent them for 2.50 euro per towel.

Do the apartments have internet?

Yes, all our apartments have internet.

Can we bring pets?

There are apartments in which we accept pets and there are others in which we do not. Please contact us so that we can give you the information according to the apartment you are interested in.

Where, how and when do we get the keys?

The keys are delivered personally to the apartment at check-in. This is after 15:00h, however it will be agreed between the parties before the guests arrival.

Sundays or public holidays incurr an extra fee. There is a charge for any other day after 18:00 and this changes again after 21:00.

We ask you to be in touch with us via whatssApp or call us one hour before your arrival, to provide the best possible service and prevent the eventuality of no one being present at the apartment.

How do I pay the remaining balance?

The balance plus tourist tax is payable on arrival in cash or by credit card or bank transfer two weeks in advance, before arrival.  

Should payment be made by bank transfer, it is necessary that we receive a copy of the receipt.

What is the minimum length of stay?

The minimum length of stay in high season (summer) is 5 nights and in low season (spring, autumn and winter) it is 2 nights.

We have more guests, do we have to pay extra?
Every apartment has a legal maximum number of guests allowed to be accommodated at any one time. We are required by law to ensure that over occupancy does not occur.
 
In summer, the rate for the apartment is the same regardless of one person staying or the maximum allowable. All the rooms will be dressed with bed linen and house towels provided for the number of people staying. The names and details of all guests must be given to Vilanova Apartments at check in or prior to arrival as agreed. If some guests arrive later e.g. on a different flight, Vilanova Apartments require their details in advance and the appropriate amount of tourist tax to be paid by the guests at check in.
 
Out of high season. The apartment will be dressed with bed linen and towels, only for the number of people to be accommodated. Prior permission must be sought from Vilanova Apartments to invite any additional guests. We will then provide bed linen and towels for those guests. It is the responsibility of the named renter to ensure that all guests are registered with us and have paid the appropriate tourist tax.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

A deposit equivalent to the greater of either 30% (plus the booking fee) of the reserved stay is processed. No booking is confirmed until such a deposit has been paid. This deposit is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed.

What is included in the payment?

The apartments are fully equipped and let on a self-catering basis. We provide an initial supply only of toilet paper, shower gel, hand soap and dishwashing liquid. 

Bed linen, one bath towel and one hand towel for each guest, electricity, water and gas are included in the price. Final cleaning is olso included.

Beach towels are available to hire for 2.50 euro per towel.

This is only for short stays. Please contact us for long term rental.

Can you help us with transport services?

Absolutely. Please send us an email with your arrival date, flight number, number of people and estimated time of pick up at the airport and we will arrange your transportation.

Can we have housekeeping service during our stay?

Cleaning services during your stay are available at an additional hourly rate.  Please inform us, if required.

(A cleaning service at the end of the stay is included as part of the original booking only in high season.)

Do you have a cot and high chair for my baby?

Yes, of course. Please request them at the time of booking.

How to get to Vilanova i la Geltru.

There are flights to Barcelona or Reus/Salou (Tarragona). Most low cost airlines use these routes.

By train: Vilanova i la Geltrú is on the mainline routes from both Barcelona and Tarragona. There is a rail link from Barcelona airport via El Prat de Llobregat. An express bus runs regularly from Barcelona airport.

We can arrange a pick up and drop off service at an extra cost.
